Fellow-Mentor-Advisor Program

The Fellow-Mentor-Advisor (FMA) program provides our members with enhanced access to research-in-progress, close interactions with researchers working on innovative solutions to challenges in energy application fields, mentor recognition within the Stanford community, and strategic recruitment opportunities with our students.

We assist our industry members in selecting a Stanford faculty member (the advisor). A relationship is established between an industry member (the mentor) and a student or postdoctoral scholar (the fellow) who is working on a research project of interest to the company. The student benefits from working with an industry expert who can provide insight into the application of their research to real-world problems.

The FMA program provides valuable financial support for research at Stanford, greater visibility of industry members to Stanford faculty and students, and increased industry connections to state-of-the-art research.
